As a pillar industry of the national economy, the construction industry has provided strong support for the sustained and healthy development of China's economy. In July 2020, China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and 13 other ministries and commissions jointly issued the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Coordinated Development of Intelligent Construction and Building Industrialization, which clearly stated that by 2025, the policy system and industrial system for the coordinated development of intelligent construction and building industrialization in China will be basically established. By 2035, China will make significant progress in the coordinated development of smart construction and construction industrialization, and become one of the world's leading countries in smart construction. In September of the same year, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and nine other ministries and commissions issued Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of New-type Building Industrialization. The construction sector is one of the three major sectors of energy consumption and carbon emission in China. With the in-depth promotion of China's "double carbon" strategy, it is the only way to vigorously promote green construction and develop a new construction mode represented by green, intelligent and industrial development. 

With the support of relevant Chinese and European government departments and international organizations, Sino-European Building Industrialization Forum is an academic exchange activity for the purpose of green building materials, green buildings, low carbon, climate change, sustainable development and building industrialization, which is jointly proposed and organized by several Chinese and European business associations and well-known enterprises. Engineering Days Introduced into China in 2016, the Forum has been successfully held for four times, becoming an important platform for technical exchange between China and Europe in the field of building industrialization. The forum enjoys a high reputation in China and Europe.

Sino-European Building Industrialization Forum / Engineering Days China 2023 will be held in Beijing on April 21-22, 2023. The forum will focus on the theme of "Green, industrialization and intelligent", and four sub-topics, namely intelligent manufacturing, green low-carbon and building industrialization, distributed Energy transformation and building industrialization, and new building industrialization system. Nearly 50 well-known experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from China and Europe in building industrialization and related fields will be invited. Leaders of relevant government departments and business associations will be invited to attend the forum as well.  The forum will focus on the frontier, hot and difficult topics in the field of construction industrialization for discussion and exchange.
